The PS3 Series Polarization Dependent Loss Multimeter, a multifunction instrument for testing fiberoptic components. The PS3 Series combines polarization dependent loss (PDL), insertion loss, return loss, and power measurements within a single, fast, accurate instrument. It is the first instrument to contain an internal PDL reference for verifying calibration, which saves time and reduces errors. The PS3 Series is a multifunction instrument that provides accurate measurements for passive component qualification, instrument specifications, research and development. It alternates from polarization loss and insertion loss to return loss rapidly and acquires measurements in seconds. Internal source lasers are available in 1310, 1480, 1550, 1625 and 1650 nm, or an external source can be used. GPIB and RS232C interfaces allow remote functionality. Insertion loss and PDL are calculated within two seconds and displayed simultaneously. The unit pictured is the actual unit you will receive.
